Check out this beautiful Parker Vacumatic Major dressed in silver pearl. This pen does show some signs of wear. The plating on the cap band has partially worn off. Parker 45 – Black w/steel nib
Nib buffing paper
This is some of the paper/film I use on the pens I repair. I want every pen I sent out to write as smooth as possible, which requires high-quality buffing material. As far as I know there isn’t a finer buffing film than these. I have two types of for sale, .5 micron (tan) and .1 micron (green). Both grits measure 5″ across. Just for your reference, .5 micron is equivalent to 60,000 grit sand paper (see a grit guide here). These papers are very durable, and if used properly, will last for dozens of nibs. If you are interested in trying your hand at smoothing, Richard Binder has a great guide here. These films are the best way to get a glassy smooth writing experience! $12 each

Parker 45 Red with Gold Nib!
When I first ran into Parker 45s I wasn’t real excited about them. Α while back a customer sent me one for a tune-up and I was really impressed. These pens can be every bit as smooth as a 51, yet they have a bit more spring in their nib. This little bit of flex allows for more line variation than you can get with a 51 or 21. Some of them, like this one, even come with gold nibs! These pens are hard to beat for the price. Get this one for $45!

Parker 51 – Gold and Black
This pen was produced in the last year that Parker made the vacumatic 51, 1948. Beginning in the later portion of 1948 Parker released the new aerometric models. This pen has a rarer line pattern on the cap. Notice the alternation between wavy lines and straight lines. Unfortunately, this cap does have a couple of small dents, but it is still in very good shape! Get this pen for $80!

[SOLD – This pen is going to Malaysia!] Parker 21 Super – Broad Nib!
Here is a beautiful Parker 21 super for you. I’ve said it before but I will say it again, these pens are great writers! They bear the same nib setup as the 51 specials. I like to carry one as my daily workhorse. This pen lays what I would call a broad line, and a juicy one at that! Get this one for just $45!

Dove Grey Parker 51 – Fine
Here is a nice vac-fill Parker 51 for you. This pen dates to 1944, but it has received a different cap somewhere along the way. The blue diamond cap went away around 1947, so this cap had to come from a later Parker 51. Even though this is not 100% original, it still is a wonderful writer. Where else can you find a pen of this caliber at this price? Get it for $70!

Parker Vacumatic Jr. 1948 [SOLD – This pen is going to Malaysia]
Up for your consideration is this Parker Vacumatic Jr. in black. This pen is like new. I seriously doubt it was filled with ink before I tested it. Take a look at the clear sections of the barrel! You will rarely find a pen with this level of clarity! I have replaced the diaphragm since the old rubber would have failed, tested, and cleaned it up a bit. The nib leaves a nice medium line, and writes silky smooth! Get this pen just for $75 plus shipping!

[Sold! This pen is going to California 12/18]Parker Vacumatic – Gold Pearl, Major/Full Size
Here is a fine pen for your collection. This gold pearl Vac is a wonderful writer, and a looker! There are some marks on the cap band you should note. I tried to get the defects in the pictures, so take a look. I also included a size comparison between to a Parker 51 and a demi size Vac. This pen measures a little over 5 1/16″ capped. New diaphragm installed, tuned, smoothed, tested and ready for you. Similar pens go for $200! Get this one for $85 plus shipping!

[SOLD – This pen is going to California!] Gold Bond – semi-flex!
Well, here is a pen for you to check out… finally! Life has been busy up here in Washington and I haven’t been able to devote a lot of time to my pens lately. Sorry :).
So this pen is a “Gold Bond” semi-flex. This is a pen that was marketed by Montgomery Ward back in the 1930’s. The pen is likely a Waterman’s pen which was essentially rebranded for this store. The nib on this pen is large, and it is 14k gold. The gold value alone is somewhere in the $30-50 range all by itself! Since I have been so slow posting pens, I will let this one go for the screaming price of $30 (plus shipping)! That is what I charge for an average restoration, and you get a pen too!
